If you have an apple body shape, focus on creating balance and flattering your figure. Draw attention to your neckline and upper body, while creating a more defined waistline.

Hourglass Body Shape ⏳

If you have an hourglass body shape, focus on emphasizing your waistline and showing off your curves.

Just make sure to choose styles that fit well and feel comfortable, so you can feel confident and beautiful.

Pear Shape 🍐

If you have an pear body shape, focus on creating balance and drawing attention to your upper body.

  • Styles with plunging necklines are perfect for you. These styles will draw the eye upwards, creating a balance with your lower body.

  • Smooth skirts are great for elongating your legs and creating a sleek look.

  • An A-line silhouette or dresses with ruching/gathering at the waist can help create balance and create a more defined waistline.

Rectangle Shape

If you have a rectangle body shape, you have the perfect opportunity to create curves and define your waist.

  • Look for styles that have peaked waistlines, which will create the illusion of an hourglass figure.

  • High necklines can also be very flattering, as they will draw attention to your face and neck, and help to elongate your body.

  • Look for styles with a defined waistline, such as a wrap dress, or opt for styles with details at the waist, like a belted midi dress or a fitted pencil skirt.

  • Adding volume to your lower half, such as with a full skirt or flared pants, can also help to create the illusion of curves. Just be sure to keep the top half fitted to balance out your figure.

Special Considerations

Full Figured Bust

The first thing to look for is support!

Make sure to choose a dress with a sturdy, bra-like support built into the dress or opt for a dress with thicker straps to keep your bust in place.

For styles, we recommend considering dresses with a deep V-neckline or scoop neckline to help draw attention away from your bust and Empire waisted or A-line silhouettes to help to create a more defined waistline.

Broad Shoulders

For those with broad shoulders, we recommend drawing attention to your lower body.

Styles with ruched detailing, wrap dresses, and A-line dresses are can help draw attention to your lower body, while creating a more defined waistline.

V-necklines and scoop necklines can also help to elongate your neck and create a more slender silhouette.

Short or Long Torso

If you have a short or long torso, focus on creating balance and flattering your figure.

For those with a short torso, focus on styles that elongate your figure. High waisted styles and vertical lines can help lengthen your torso.

For those with a long torso, opt for styles that add definition and balance. Belted styles, A-line silhouettes, and designs with ruching can help to create a balanced look.

Tall Figure

For our taller customers, we understand the challenge of finding the perfect dress length. While the majority of our styles have length limits, we do have a selection of styles that can be custom made up to 7'5". Here is the list:

Should I wear a bra with my dress?

Dresses with built-in padding and boning can provide enough support so that a bra is not necessary. You can use the filters on our website to find dresses with boning and/or padding.

If you plan to wear a bra with your dress, it may be best to order a style without boning and padding or have these features removed for a better fit. While we can't remove boning and padding from our styles, a seamstress can easily take care of it for you locally.
